: Hardware Design Engineer

Company : One of the leading Telecom equipment manufacturing company in Chennai, which designs, manufactures, supplies & installs wireless switching equipment, optic fibre equipment, broadband equipments, etc. Company HQ at Chennai and offices at Delhi, Singapore & Brazil.

Job profile :

· BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech (Electronics & Communication) + MBA or PMP certification an advantage
· 8+ yrs experience in telecom industry out of which at least 5 yrs as hardware designer of telecom products
· Last 3-5 yrs of exp in telecom manufacturing company in technology transfer role
· To lead & motivate high potential design teams to ensure time & quality metrics are met.
· Exposure to business planning, market requirement definition, product definition, pricing strategies, competitive analysis, product release, maintenance handoff
· Ability to multiplex both time & focus on out of the blue issues
· Management leadership of technical teams involving budgeting, operations, review
· Handle project issues including those requiring client interaction
· Monitor & manage project resources, processes & schedules
· Ensure development of skill sets within the team alongwith co-ordinating training and induction of new recruits
· Ensure maintenance & archival of project documents for hand-off
· Take responsibility & accountability regarding project issues & escalations
· Generate project status reports & handle escalation/out of the blue issues alongwith planned & scheduled activities
· Intimate, estimate effort & risk, evaluate top level design and architecture
· Ensure proactive identification, tracking, escalation, resolution and control of multifunctional issues
· Participate & collaborate in review of changes and plans
